Natalie Bingham Hoover is an FAA Designated Pilot Examiner for the state of Mississippi. She also holds a Pilot in Command type rating in a Beechjet and does corporate flying in the Memphis area.
In another life, she flew a CRJ-200 for Pinnacle Airlines, a regional carrier for Northwest. In 2017 she was awarded the Southeast Regional FAA Safety Team Representative of the year.
She also writes for various aviation publications and was awarded the Greg Laslo award in 2014 for excellence in writing. She is currently a columnist for AOPA Pilot and does freelance work for AOPA Flight Training, as well as NAFI’s Mentor Magazine.
She holds an Airline Transport Pilot certificate as well as all instructor ratings, Certified Flight Instructor, Certified Flight Instructor Instrument, and MultiEngine Instructor. She has logged over 3,000 hours of dual flight instruction given.
She resides in Germantown, Tennessee and currently owns a Cessna 172 named Lola. Her aviation bucket list includes owning a Decathlon and getting a seaplane rating.
